The launch event for the Young Single Working Adults (YSWA) was an awesome time of the Word and worship with more than 300 young working adults gathering at The Pavilion at Far East Square to be a part of this new beginning, eager to hear from Pastor Benjamin and his vision for the young working adults of Arrow Ministry.

The evening began at 4.30pm that Saturday when doors opened at The Pavilion. By ones and twos, the people trailed in to take their seats, awaiting the start of the evening’s programme.

More than 300 YSWAs attended the launch.

has a destiny and a calling for greatness.

The emcees for the night, Keith and Maddy, took to the stage to welcome the people to the inaugural Arrow YSWA meeting. They lit up the faces of the audience as they entertained with their special brand of humour, just as they gently encouraged the people to expect to be blessed and to receive with open hearts.

During the sharing that followed, Pastor Benjamin delivered a heart-warming message that revealed the purpose and heart of our loving Father for Arrow YSWA. Pastor Benjamin shared that our Father in heaven has designed Arrow YSWA to be a place of destiny and of greatness in the making --- each member having been called and uniquely graced by God for a blessed future replete with His promises.

It is for this reason that Arrow Ministry exists: for the transformation, equipping and preparation of every young working adult by the grace of God alone. As Pastor Benjamin said, "Here is where you discover grace that makes you free to be your best self."

Referencing from Genesis 12:1, Pastor Benjamin encouraged the YSWAs to step out of their comfort zones; to be bold to form friendships and fellowship with one another. Pastor also exhorted the YSWAs to come into the ministry with a Jesus-centred expectation, as each and every YSWA has been marked for greatness by the One who created us, blessed to be at the right place at the right time; the Benjamin Generation targeted for extreme favour!

Lending a personal touch to the event, the emcees conducted interviews with two couples serving in Arrow Ministry. They shared with the audience their experiences in love, ministry and career, recounting how God had blessed them abundantly in each of these areas of life. With down-to-earth sincerity, they related how God had transformed them from glory to glory as they began to get involved and to serve in their ministry.

Recalling the start of the event, every one experienced a sense of awkwardness as we entered a new ministry and an unfamiliar environment. But with the characteristic boldness of the righteous, each YSWA had decided to take that crucial first step to enter the ministry, confident in their good God.

That initial step is reminiscent of Abraham’s own step of faith when God called him out of his homeland into a new land. And it was there that he witnessed, first-hand, the grace of God manifested in his life. I trust that as each YSWA moves out of his/her comfort zone with an expectation to see God’s goodness and grace, each will begin to hit the mark in every area of their lives!
